With a smart fridge, maintenance is mostly about follow-up. Is it staying cold, is anything past its date, is a slot empty while that product has been selling for days? That follow-up sits with you or your supplier. On our side: warranty, remote assistance, software updates and parts.
A smart fridge has few moving parts. No spiral that jams, no product that gets stuck on the way down. What needs attention is what is inside and whether it stays cold. The fridge holds its own temperature; on every round it is checked together with the use-by dates, and anything nearing its date comes out.
Then there is the classic side: a breakdown, a door that will not close, a reader that does not respond. That happens less often than with a spiral machine, but you want to know beforehand who fixes it and how. The same question applies to any vending operator.

A cooling failure is visible. Who receives the alert is agreed at installation.
The shift needs to know who a problem goes to, even at three in the morning.
What happens to the products after a failure is settled before it ever happens.
Remote diagnosis first; then, if needed, on-site work by you or a local technician, using our parts.
How to organise the rest for a night shift is covered under food for the night shift. What is monitored between kitchen and fridge is under food safety in vending.

With a fridge you buy, rent or lease, you are the operator. That works well when the logistics are already in house, with a kitchen, a caterer or a facilities team. Without those people, restocking is the first job to slip, which is why it can pay to hand it to a restocking supplier.
For on-site work, have a name ready: your own maintenance team or a local refrigeration technician. We support them remotely and supply the parts.
Everything that keeps the fridge running: following the cooling, keeping an eye on product dates, getting breakdowns fixed, keeping the fridge clean and filled. That is down to you or your supplier. On our side: warranty, remote assistance, software updates and parts.
We do not give a timescale here. Who reports, to whom and what happens to the contents is agreed per site at installation. A site that runs day and night needs different arrangements from an office that empties at six.
A failure is noticed and followed up. Whatever is no longer safe comes out. With a fridge you buy, rent or lease, that loss sits with you, or with your supplier depending on your agreement.
Your own maintenance team or a local technician of your choice. We guide them remotely and supply the parts.
The terms are set out in the proposal for your site. We do not give a period here, because it also depends on the configuration you choose.
Eight short questions and a call: on it we agree who follows up what, outside office hours too, before anything is delivered.
