In the site check we only ask what we need to judge whether a smart fridge works on your site, and to call you about it. This page sets out exactly what happens with that information.
If the language versions differ, the Dutch version prevails.

1. Who is responsible?

Have a question about your data, or want to exercise one of the rights in section 7? Email us at the address above. We reply within 30 days.

When you submit the form, your IP address is hashed (SHA-256) and kept briefly, solely to count how many times the form is sent from the same address. This protects the form against spam. The hash cannot be turned back into your IP address and is deleted automatically.
The language of the page on which you filled in the form, so that we can reply to you in that language.
We deliberately ask for no data we do not need, and the contact fields only appear in the last step — the questions before that are about the site alone.
3. What do we use it for?
Purpose
Legal basis (Art. 6 GDPR)
Assessing whether your site is suitable and which solution fits
Legitimate interest — you request a site check yourself
Calling or emailing you about your request
Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract
Preparing a quote or proposal
Steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract
Protecting the form against spam
Legitimate interest — keeping the site working
We do not use your data for automated decision-making with legal effects. The internal score we give a request only decides the order in which a person calls you — nothing is automatically refused or granted.
We send no newsletter and do not add you to any mailing list.
4. Who sees it?
Your request reaches the people who follow it up, and two processors we use for that:
Google (Google Workspace & Apps Script) — your request is written as a row in a Google spreadsheet and an email notification is sent. Google acts as a processor here. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area; this is done on the basis of the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Our web host — hosts the site and handles email delivery as a fallback. If the connection to Google fails, your request is temporarily stored locally so it is not lost; that file cannot be reached from the web.
We do not sell your data and do not pass it to other companies for their own marketing. That is a deliberate choice: we are not a lead broker. Otherwise, data is only disclosed if the law requires us to.
5. How long do we keep it?
Requests that lead to a customer relationship: for as long as that relationship lasts, and then for the statutory retention periods of our accounts.
Requests that lead nowhere: 24 months after our last contact.
Hashed IP addresses for spam protection: a few hours at most, then deleted automatically.
6. How do we protect it?
The whole site runs over HTTPS; what you enter travels encrypted.
The form submits through a POST request. Your data never ends up in the URL, and so not in browser history or third-party server logs.
The folder with the fallback log and the configuration is shielded at server level and cannot be requested from the web.
Access to the spreadsheet of requests is limited to those who need it.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
access your data and receive a copy;
have it corrected if something is wrong;
have it erased;
have the processing restricted;
object to processing based on legitimate interest;
take your data with you in a common format.
One email to info@tevending.be is enough. We may ask you to confirm your identity, so that we do not hand your data to someone else.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle it, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
8. Cookies
This site places no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. What that means exactly, and which external resources the page does load, is explained in our cookie policy.
9. Changes
If anything changes in how we handle data, we update this page and the date at the top. The current version is always here.
